Get ConnectedGet Connected > PC > Connection > Internet Explorer 4
Step 1: Start the Internet Setup Wizard (inetwiz). To do so, click "Start" and select "Run". Type in "inetwiz", and then click "OK". Step 2: Select the 2nd option, and then click "Next".
Step 3: Select "Connect using my phone line", then click "Next".
Step 4: Create a new dial-up connection If you are asked to create a new connection or use an existing one, select "Create a new dial-up connection", and then click "Next". Step 5: Enter your local access number, as well as the area code (if required), and any codes needed (such as *70, to turn off call waiting or 9 to reach an outside line) in the "Telephone number" box. Be sure to uncheck "Dial using the area code and country code" and click "Next".
Step 6: Enter your username (as shown in the table below) and password and click "Next".
Step 7: For the Advanced Settings window, be sure to answer "No". Click "Next".
Step 8: Name the new connection "Ideal". This will help you distinguish between connections if you have several. Then, click "Next".
Step 9: Select "Yes" when asked if you want to set up an Internet mail account. Then, click "Next".
Step 10: Type in your name and click on "Next".
Step 11: Type in your e-mail address (as shown in the table below) and click on "Next".
Step 12: Type in the incoming mail server (as shown in the table below) and outgoing mail server (as shown in the table below) and click on "Next".
Step 13: Type in your username (as shown in the table below) and your password and click on "Next".
Step 14: Type "Ideal" as the name for your Internet mail account and click on "Next".
Step 15: Click "Finish". Step 16: To complete your email configuration, please refer to the email configuration instructions for your specific email client. |
