Step 1: Click on the Apple Menu and select Control Panels followed by Remote Access.

Step 2: Ensure that Registered User is selected.

Step 3: Enter your Ideal username in the Name field (as shown in the table below).

Step 4: Enter your password in the Password field. If desired, select Save Password.

Step 5: In the Number field, enter your local access number, as well as the area code (if required), and any codes needed (such as *70, to turn off call waiting or 9 to reach an outside line).

Step 6: Click on "Options".

Step 7: Click on "Protocol" and make sure the "first 3 check boxes" are checked.

Step 8: Click on "OK".

Step 9: Close the Remote Access window to save your changes.
