Step 1: Click on the Apple Menu and select Control Panels followed by ConfigPPP.

Step 2: Click the Config button.

Step 3: Type Ideal in the PPP Server Name text box.

Step 4: Configure the settings as follows:

• Port Speed : For a 33.6 modem, select 38400. For a 56K modem, select 57600.
• Flow Control : CTS and RTS (DTR)
• Select Tone Dial
• Phone num: enter your local access number, as well as the area code (if required), and any codes needed (such as *70, to turn off call waiting or 9 to reach an outside line.

Step 5: Click on the Authentication button. Type in your username (as shown in the table below) and password and click on OK.

Step 6: Click Done.

Step 7: To connect to the Internet, click Open.
